"There can be no hesitation in recommending Raven Thatching.  A highly professional job has been done on the ridge of our cottage. It is very thick (noticeably thicker than other ridges done in the area). The hazel decorative work is attractive and each of the scallops are individually netted. Much time was spent by Mat to ensure of the correct measurements and alignment of the ridge. The site was kept relatively clear each day and on the last day was thoroughly cleared of dust and debris.”

"I contacted Mat when at the very last minute we decided to thatch our new gazebo. You'll never find a thatcher at this short notice I was told by my builder. Well as luck would have it Mat was just finishing one job, was due to start another in a month or so and had a window in his schedule that worked perfectly.

From day one Mat worked with my builder to create a masterpiece of craftmanship. He devised a method by which he could accommodate the shallower pitch than he would normally thatch and created what is, in my opinion, a work of art that has provided a wonderful centre piece for our garden. We use the gazebo all year round as he advised on specific heaters that are purpose built for thatched gazebos.
